Mr. Y. Satyanarayana worked as Additional Commissioner in the Department of Commercial Taxes, Government of Telangana State. Prior to joining the State Government of united AP in 1987, he worked in Central Government as an IOFS Officer from the batch of 1984 Civil Services—A service comes under Group-A services of the UPSC.
Mr. Satyanarayana, fondly called as Satya by his friends was born in a village near Kakinada in East Godavari District. After completion of graduation in Commerce, he joined in Literature in Andhra University out of interest and got the University First and later concentrated on Civil Services. Recently he topped in the PG Diploma in Communicative English from the University of Hyderabad.
He is an ever learning student and attended the world class workshops like “Blue Print for Success” by Shiv Khera, “The Seven Habits of the Highly Effective People” and the “The 8th Habit” by Stephen R. Covey, “N.L.P. Trainers Training” BY William Horton, U.S.A., the seminars of Deepak Chopra, Edward de Bono, Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracy, Robin Sharma etc., besides attending a number of local workshops on Personality Development and Personal Effectiveness. Further he is very fond of English Language and completed English Language courses like “Impact”, “Business Executive” and “Advanced Evolution” conducted by the British Council. He is also an ardent student of “Financial Intelligence”.
He loves to share his knowledge. He has been coaching and guiding a number of civil aspirants to enter into coveted services like I.A.S., I.P.S., I.R.S., Group-A Services, Group I, II and other services of both Central and State Governments. His students are found in a number of services throughout the State and Country. He has been conducting a number of workshops and seminars on Personal Development and Personal Effectiveness to the youth in Colleges, Coaching Institutes, Universities, Hostels, Government and other Training Centres.
He wrote three books which became best sellers. His first book is on Belief System in the name of “Nammakama! Neeku Namaskaram”, another book on Personality Development in the name of “Ashtaanga Maargam tho Vyakthithva Vikaasam and the third one is “Markula Vyuham” on how to develop effective study habits and get more marks. His books are translated into other languages like Kannada. He is a columnist and has been contributing articles to “Chaduvu” in Eenadu daily paper.
He follows the motto of “Pay Back to the Society” and adopts the way of “Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day: teach him how to fish, you feed him for a life”. He has been devoting a good amount of time in equipping himself so as inspire the people especially the youth. He also started a voluntary organization called SAMATA SEVA SAMITI-A NEED BASED INFORMATION SYSTEM in Rajahmundry with like-minded friends primarily to inspire people to come out with their best. Samata was recognized by the State Government and elaborated as a State Coaching Center with own building. He also started “SAMATA ACADEMY FOR HUMAN EXCELLECE” in Hyderabad to impart free coaching for Civil Services like IAS, IPS etc with like-minded friends and Oraganizations. He is now mentoring S.R. Shankaran IAS Academy, Hyderabad. He is an important faculty to KERALA SAMAJAM IAS ACADEMY Benguluru, Analog IAS Institute, at Delhi and Hyderabad. After retirement from the service, he has been fully focusing on couching for the Civil Services and interacting with Civil Services aspirants in various places. He is an advisor to many voluntary organizations and derives pleasure in sharing his time, talent and treasure.
He received a number of awards from the Government of Andhra Pradesh. He received Certificate of Commendation and Cash Award from the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He received Certificate of Commendation from the Hon’ble Ministers of Commercial Taxes four times. He received Certificate of Commendation for the years 2001-02, 2002-03, and 2003-04. He was adjudged as the Best Performer and was sent for VAT Study Tour to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand & Indonesia which gave him scope to study the progress and development of those countries. He was also conferred “Pride of the Nation” award by the All India Achievers Conference at Mumbai.
